Our Dog Kennels
We have 23 kennel units, five of which are extra-large to accommodate giant breeds, pairs of larger dogs (e.g. German Shepherds) or groups of three or four from the same family. All kennels have a sheltered run with rural views. Dogs aren’t able to see each other when in their kennels, adding a feeling of security.

Sleeping arrangements
Sleeping areas are insulated and heated in the winter, whilst being cool and shady in summer. Dogs are provided with a raised bed, and we provide plenty of bedding, as well as a cosy basket for small dogs.
You are welcome to bring a few sturdy toys, such as Kongs, Nylabones or plastic toys, to go in your dog’s kennel with them.
Dogs' daily routine
- The day begins early at 7.30am, and dogs are let out into their runs after a restful night. Each dog is walked first thing, followed by breakfast. The dogs are walked again around midday, and then again in the afternoon, followed by an evening meal. 30-minute river walks can be booked, which usually take place either mid-morning or early afternoon. Late evening, the dogs are checked and put to bed ready to rest.
- We don’t mix dogs from different households, so if you’ve ever thought that kennels aren’t an option for your nervous or reactive dog, we’re here to help. Currently all walks take place on-lead for safety and security, however we are planning to build a fenced paddock in 2024 which will allow us to offer some off-lead exercise – still fully supervised and tailored to the individual dog’s needs. Keeping a close eye on the dogs at walk time allows us to quickly spot any changes in health or behaviour to ensure your dog is happy and enjoying their time with us.
- We have kept our grounds natural and grassy rather than opting for lots of concrete or gravel, meaning it is attractive for wildlife and creates a high level of interest for the dogs with all the sights and smells.

Diet, exercise and medication
If your dog is fed once or three times per day, or if your dog needs less walking due to health or age, or you’d like to book any river walks, please speak to a member of staff.
We have a supply of complete dried food that we are happy to feed at no extra cost, or we will feed any food that you supply.
We are also able to administer any medication that your dog requires, including injections for diabetic dogs.
